a lot of people I work with who are also in their 20s don't seem to drive or even have their license. or they get it later than usually (between when they are 21 and 25)
I get not driving cos no car but it feels more and more people don't even know how to drive or seem interested. What's the deal? back when I was younger ppl tried to get their license as soon as they could. mind you I'm in my later 20s and the people I work with who don't drive aren't that much younger than me at all. do you drive? ... work is a 10 minute walk away and the bus to the city centre is a 20 minute ride with 10 minute intervals between busses.
I ain't wastin 5000 a year on insurance and monthly payments for the car when I can just play with my phone in the bus instead of paying attention and spending 15 minutes to find a parking spot that charges me 20 bucks. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I'm 30, and while I know how to drive, I have never had a license and choose not to drive. Really not eager to be on the road with the drivers I see every day; just being a passenger, I have to stop myself from getting out and pulling someone out of their car for being stupid.
I've always had anger issues about things like that, and was told years ago by my therapist that it was best if I don't drive. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

I'm 26 and I got my license at 24, and my first car... at 26. I refused to go to driver's school because I wanted my dad to teach me. There was no reason for me to pay for someone else to teach me what everyone else knows. My dad never bothered with me. Fast forward to later on, I got my friend to help me take the test, which I failed 3 times. And then my neighbor who runs a driving school made me come to his. At least I didn't have to pay.
I also killed my engine yesterday so now I'm looking for a new car since I need it for work. --- imgtc.com/i/4HgTl0ebzq.jpg imgtc.com/i/60CWP2Gtlg.gif ... Copied to Clipboard!

I waited until I was 18 instead of 16, but I've been driving since then. I pretty much only drive to and from work these days, though, and that's only 20 minutes one way. I prefer to be a passenger over driving, but I'm fine driving. I never had a wreck or anything.

i moved to the city so I have no reason ever drive again I live in Detroit and despite it having the highest autoinsurance rates in the country, there are still reasons to drive, because public transportation is shit, and all of the big grocery stores are in the suburbs (that's right; Detroit doesn't have a Kroger or Walmart within the city). --- Be wary of boarding the hype train, lest you end up on the ruse cruise... - nanobuilder (r/nintendo) http://backloggery.com/SolarCrimson ...
