I guess discs are pretty much just installer discs. This type of game takes up so much of the HDD even compared to cel-shaded games like DBFZ, let alone indie games with 2D graphics. I don't have that many of them and yet I needed to make room on the 500GB hard drive to install.

this is why I have 6 TBs (2 internal, 4 external) on my PS4 I'm still good on space for a long time

I'll probably be fine. I don't exactly burn through AAA games continuously. I might upgrade the internal HDD to at least 1TB, though.

Cel shaded games are like the 3D version of vector graphics I think. They don't actually have to store many HD texture images, just a bunch of lengths, angles and colors.

This is a major flaw with the PS4. Install sizes are too massive proportionate to the hard drive size. If you gave us a terabyte without upgrading, maybe we'd buy more games. Or, well... I can speak for myself, I guess...

Does PS4 still do the dumb thing PS3 did where for downloads you need double the final required space?

This is the exact reason I don't care at all about physical games anymore. They take up my already limited physical space and don't save me anything on my console, plus they add the extra inconvenience of shoving the disc in just to act as a "key" to what's already fully on the hard drive.

For all of that though, Amazon Prime still doesn't offer discounts on games so I guess getting the game and a bunch of inconvenient plastic is still cheaper than just getting the game, somehow.

I never sell my games but it still seems more reliable to have a physical than a digital copy. For one thing digital copies don't stack, but you can have a digital and a physical copy if it becomes a PS+ game or something.
