They broke the show's format, and thus its humor, by making it into a 15 episode focused-on-characters season. The remix puts it in its original format save for one flash-forward type scene, but otherwise it stays true to its standard style of story-telling. Granted, some complaints I've heard that I understand are: still too much narration, quite a few more flashbacks to help explain things.
