I mean, it's a 2 tribute monster with 2400/2000 and no added effect. The only thing that could redeem it is other cards that specifically require it for something.

in the original series only set it was probably decent.

Now with so many efficient ways to Synchro/XYZ/whatever summon strong monsters with stupidly good effects in a single turn while still being able to summon another makes him poopy

even in the original sets there was no reason to ever use it over Blue Eyes since it's a level 7 requiring 2 tributes for 2400 ATK.

maybe if you wanted to summon B. Skull but trying to use old Polymerization to actually fuse things was really bad.

I never totally understood Polymerization. I just never used it in EDS. Is that other game Dungeon Dice Monsters? I enjoyed the video game of that.

I mean if you're going that route, you're probably better off using just Summoned Skull, who is stronger and requires less tributes, and removing the REBD cards from your deck entirely.

I wound up getting a legendary collection out of nostalgia, and there is a ton of Red Eyes support in the Joey deck. I don't know how good the vanilla version is in that, but there's a million ways to cheat it out now.

One of the DUMBEST things ever said.

Half the ban list is cards from magic rulers for crying out loud (the second set).... when they had no idea how to balance, if anything the opposite is true. There is no way possible to power creep some of the early cards.

Blue Eyes won Worlds last year.... a deck that runs on having 3 vanilla blue eyes white dragons in it.

Red Eyes is awful cause it has no idea what it is.... is it a fusion turbo deck, is it Gemini, is it Burn? It has tons of different ways it can go, none of them good

His best was Gilford the Lightning by the way.

I would say Red Eyes was at best his 4th best monster card.

After that, Jinzo, and Gearfried the Iron Knight.

While this is true, he said old cards were useless cause of power creep, not because you can't play them anymore.

And that simply not true when the ban list of Spell cards might as well be called "Magic Rulers and friends"

Yeah. That's a really strong set.

i mean compared to Magic Ruler which pretty much only has MST/Giant Trunade/Delinquent Duo, Metal Raiders is banging.

Magic Ruler was the set with Toon World & Rituals capitalizing off of anime hype.

oh yeah Metal Raiders also had Ultra Rare Summoned Skull. that was like the best combo card with Witch of the Black Forest in fifth grade.
