After Lawbreakers failed, he says they scrambled to catch the battle royale wave with Radical Heights but that it was "too little, too late" for Boss Key.

Who's Cliffy B? That sounds slightly familiar...

So why is he trying to ride the Battle Royale trend? Isn't that like trying to make a FNaF clone 4 years ago?

I haven't played it, but supposedly Radical Heights was getting some positive feedback, and had a couple fresh ideas. Guess it just wasn't enough.

He hasn't worked at Epic since late 2012, he retired an then came back a couple years later with his own studio and then they made Lawbreakers, last years failed arena shooter. He recently tried making a Battle Royale game but I guess now it didn't get off the ground.

Who?

Cliff Bleszinski? One of the guys who made Unreal and directed Gears of War 1-3? He was one of the most well known game developers in the industry for a while.

I thought Radical Hiegts had a funny concept but I guess because ti wasn't Fortntie or PUBG no-one cared.

I played the original Unreal many years ago, only remember Epic Megagames from the branding.

As for Gears of War, played the original, not the later games. I don't even know what company was behind those.

Radical Heights was fun, just started playing it a few weeks ago. I think they needed to give it more time.

They needed to advertise more, at the very least. I've never seen an ad for either of his games so I didn't even know they existed until recently.

Maybe he can be Guy Fieri's sidekick. The douche factor is there.

The unfortunate thing is that LawBreakers was fun and well made, it just should've been F2P. It was going to be, then they were all like "nah, pay us" and people lost interest before it even came out. Launching as the Fortnite craze kicked off didn't help either, and that exploded due to being free. Some of that market share could have been theirs, but greed happened.

I think the only chance LawBreakers had would've been to launch on Xbox One instead of PS4. Sure, it's a smaller player base, but more of that group is paying for an online sub and probably more interested in shooters...

Cliffy B was a very known man a couple of years ago with his Gears of War games.
He was also involved with a game called Bulletstorm, which didn't really sell that well I think.
Oh well, you can't be at the top forever.

Oh yeah and Jazz Jackrabbit was the shit as well. A game that essentially was a combination of Earthworm Jim, Sonic the Hedgehog and Bucky o'Hare.
