It's hard to try and watch any more VRAINS because it feels so lifeless. So much color and excitement and different play types was going on in Arc-V. VRAINS is like "I summon two monster and linky" over and over and they have less cards and god forbid they use non link monsters or it might confuse the marketing message they're sending the kids

the treatment of blue angel has pissed me off too much
its not like this is unique to her sadly

yugioh has a history of not writing good female characters
to be competent in yugioh and a woman you need to be evil
if you are good the bad guys will beat you badly to make you think twice about trying to be a hero while having a vagina

arc V seemed like it was breaking the trend and for awhile it did
until the series half way point then yuzu became so irrelevant and useless you could replace her with a sexy lamp and it wouldnt make a difference

aki from 5Ds had a similar arc from cool to pointless.

tbf Serena was the cool one but yeah they knocked Yuzu out for the purpose of making the one guy more menacing and then they just had Jack fuck him up. Like, Jack does not need to be puffed up. He already blew through Dark Rebellion and was a main character of 5Ds

And then they boot Yuzu off to fugo and look like she will work competently with Alexis and Yuya's dad but nah. IIRC she doesn't even get any action while mind controlled. But they never developed the Melodia cards too well compared to Lunalights so maybe it was ahem in the cards

At least Yuri was a tasty villain and was uphill from Xyz dimension
