theintro is the only thing I can think about it being meh, the show is just a slong as the original story which was never long to begin with, it does nto feel rushed to me probably because I knew how things were gonna pan about even if it's kind fo a reimagining of the original.

I had so many mixed feelings about it but it's definitely a cut above and worth seeing. Same can't be said for genericshonen#34567 which is most of the netflix and crunchyroll catalogue.

The original Devilman was notable at the time for the subject matter and violence, but it probably seems a bit more tame by today's standards.

Devilman Crybaby is really well-animated and has great use of colours and designs but I'm still kind of torn on how I feel about the story. I guess I prefer things a little more optimistic.

Pacing is super rushed at parts, but there's some good shit in there. I hate the art style but it's definitely unique.

I loved how shitty the people were but Akira still got torugh to them in that one scene where he goes to save teh crucified people, it was a really endearing scene even for the nameless mob, the twit chain going on in the background elevated that into one of my favoite scenes in media, got me in the feels real good.
