20 y/o Zoe Royer from Denver, Colorado did a bold move after asking her professor if she could SKIP his FINAL EXAM because she already had a 99.4% in class...and he said YES!!

In an effort to boost the likelihood of her request, she sent him a picture of a puppy and kitten cuddling and miraculously, within 30 minutes, the professor said yes as he said he will submit her grade as is because that picture helped!!

She shared the screengrabs and said "Shoot your shot 2018"

The post has won her fans as people said they support her move considering she got a near perfect score heading into the final exam anyway which means she grasped the material well....

Unfortunately it doesn't always work as one girl named Brittany tried the same thing but her teacher said she knows he couldn't do that but would allow her to take it at another time..

Had plenty of teachers all throughout schooling that allowed for skipping the final if your grade was at a certain point before it. Me personally, I'd never be ballsy enough to ask a teacher to do tat if they hadn't said they would before but there's also literally no blowback to it since I don't see how it could affect your grades if they said no.

It could have been that mathematically she already had an A no matter what.

(ex) Class is worth a total of 650 points. The final is worth 50 points. She had a 99% going into the final so she was at 594/600 points. A zero on the final leaves her at 594/650 which is a final score of 91% or still an A in most classes.

wish I could have had teachers like that, but no I get teachers who tell you that your final exam is worth 45% of your grade. (had at least one like that. most others still had it to be large though like 30%)

I believe I had at least one course which let you skip the final depending on your current grade, but it was just a gen ed or something.

It depends on the class, but I've never had a final that was worth less than 10% of my grade. My roommates were engineering majors, though, and they had several professors that let them skip the final if they had an A, but that was probably because the course was so difficult to begin with.

well I at least got to skip some classes at one high school. long story short I had problems with the people running my highschool so I dropped out and enrolled in adult highschool, and they would give you an exam on the first day of class and if you made 100 you where just given a A for the class and no longer had to attend it. if 90-99% they just made you go to the library and do work relating to the chapters you missed questions in.

completely skipped 2 classes and had to go to the library for 2 others

As much as i don't blame her for trying cause i hate exams too, the point of the final exam is to serve the purpose of reviewing the complete courses worth of lessons and seeing if you have actually understood anything enough to have also retained it.
