TC is either trolling or highly uneducated on HPV which is a massive embarrassment and an ethical problem if they really do have it. Make sure she's vaccinated. That's literally it. Get vaccinated yourself too. HPV can go away after some time and getting the vaccine helps in preventing spreading the virus.

Bottom line is: Everybody stop being stupid and go get vaccinated and make your children get the vaccine as well

HSV-1 is preferable to HPV, but again, it doesn't look like you've taken any responsibility to look up anything about your virus.

HPV can cause lethal cancers.
HSV-1 is typically located in the oral region and for a large majority of carriers, they'll never have an outbreak and because HSV is a localized virus, it won't spread throughout the host's body. Most carriers get it from their parents as children via sharing food and kisses.
HSV-2 is typically located in the gential region and that's the strain that most people think of when it comes to herpes. It can also be oral but less likely to be. HSV-2 is more aggressive and can cause further complications, but I'd say blisters and potential UTIs are favorable to dying of cervical or oral cancer.
