Also you're probably getting modded for it because it makes fun of Japanese accents (not that I agree with it per se, but that's probably the reason)

Yeah sure. I still liked it though.

I have had the Gate of Time screensaver from SS on my phone since shortly after the game came out, and I'm on my third phone with it now. So that's one positive takeaway.

Skyward Sword had phenomenal music compared to Breath of the Wild. And SS had nice colorful graphics compared to BotW's washed out blurry foggy mess.

Skyward Sword had a waaay final boss fight. Ghirahim was new and interesting meanwhile BotW's story is nonexistent.

That's all SS has that is better tho.

Skyward Sword shocked me in how bad it was. There was an interview with Eiji Aonuma (I think) prior to the game's release in which he discussed how disappointed he was that Twilight Princess ended up with such an empty world map. So it blew my mind that with SS they decided it was a good idea to make it an ultra linear, mediocre Metroidvania game. We all know that the release of a 3D Zelda game is so rare that it's basically an event. SS felt like a complete waste of that event.

i personally love TP but i get why people dont. it starts out mad boring and the palette is mad dry

TP Is my personal favorite with MM being my second, i like the darker gritter zeldas, where as, oddly, Wind Waker is my third favorite haha

I enjoyed SS more than TP, tbh. They're both boring as hell, but at least SS is more fun to look at.

The parts about Twilight Princess I hated were the capturing the essence, or whatever it was , parts. Other than that it being memorable in a negative way, and other than the dark tone, I don't remember the game being really memorable.

I never got too far into Skyward Sword either time I tried it but my main issue was the controls. Not nessecarily the motion controls, the stuff that was actually logical to use it felt great. But basic movement with the stick felt awful, and there's all the motion control stuff that just had no reason to be motion controlled like the Loftwing or balancing on a tightrope or swimming. The two surface segments I got to were absolutely dreadful too.

As for Ocarina vs Twilight while I think I enjoyed Twilight Princess more when it comes purely to gameplay 1) there's more blatant padding in Twilight Princess 2) Twilight Princess is just a tonal and stylistic mess and pales to Ocarina which actually does have a really unique atmosphere to it.

Breath of the Wild I haven't finished but I was enjoying it a ton. The actual exploration and them just kinda giving you all your tools to start is something I've always wanted out of Zelda. I also love how they broke up dungeons into the far more digestible shrines, I feel the longer dungeons in the series quickly grow old and the shrines avoid that entirely with how it strews what would be the individual "rooms" of the dungeons across the game world. Some of its more RPG-ish mechanics felt superfluous though, and while I like the shrines from a gameplay perspective, they should've done something like give each region of the map its own shrine and Guardian designs to help make the world more diverse. Have ones near the edges of borders kinda bleed together the styles of each region as to keep it feeling cohesive at the same time.

SS is probably the worst of the bunch, but it is by NO means bad.

I liked SS, it had some pretty cool dungeons and bosses from what I remember. Only parts that really annoyed me were the slow start and Fi.

I can't. Twilight Princess is worse. Skyward Sword did have some cool dungeons and that was pretty much it. TP had no redeeming value whatsoever.
