Of what I gathered from the information, I am inclined to agree that the police were called and were fulfilling their duty. Maybe they could have asked the Starbucks manager some questions to get a better handle on the situation. But in the end they did what was asked of them by Starbucks. I imagine the city is becoming a part of the settlement to show that this was a situation they may not have agreed with how it was handled fully, so as to save face themselves and for the officers from any perceived guilt they might be viewed to have in light of the protests. --- I think I need a drink.
