It's 1.3, with a big feature being added being Multiplayer, but there's a lot of other new content too.

Linking instead of posting here because it's continuously being updated.

But I will share some highlights here.

*ALSO SPOILERS*

- A whole bunch of new villager events.
- No more polyamory, you get an event where they're all ticked at you if you do
- New items to make farming easier, like more shipping bins and auto-collecting animal items
- Can now pay a fee to change professions, no more being locked in


Back up your saves before opting into the beta, because you can't go back to 1.2 if you don't. Which you should probably do since there's all sorts of bugs being dealt with.

So far this is just for the PC version (maybe even just the steam version) and IIRC the Switch is slated to be the first console to get 1.3. When it's out of beta of course.

Because lots of people told me to get Undertale, so I did. And I was monumentally bored because essentially I was playing a meme that was styled after games from 30 years ago.

I want to play stardew valley if its a good game but not if its just a meme among people who get a kick out of nostalgia.

If you're into the Harvest Moon games then absolutely, it's good and addicting. So much stuff to do each day like farming, fishing, building relationships with the town folk or fighting monsters in the mines etc..

like, I had tried harvest moon 64 and liked it. didnt think about the series again until after stardew valley

tried to play them after and couldn't, SDV just improved them in every regard

HM is dead anyways. Natume makes bad games. SoS however is still quite fun and has more to do in the farming aspect.

Agree'd. Nothing against HM and HM64 which were great for their era, but SDV is an improvement in every way and is way better than anything in the HM series that came after HM64, imo.

i played this game and completed it (meaning i did all the community house stuff, and finished the dungeon and uh.. got bored of farming) back when it was first released.

i haven't touched it since then. is it worth replaying now? is it different enough since launch?

A lot's been added since launch, even new spouses. I think it was... 1.1 that added a lot.
