Current Events > It amazes me how different God Of War feels without feeling like a departure.

The story, the characters, the combat, all extremely different, yet it still feels like apart of the franchise, and a good one at that.

I'm loving the hell out of it so far.

Same. Kind of a metroidvania style open world that I'm loving.

I admit, I was one of the people who were pissed at the changes. Only played a couple of hours, but I do appreciate (for now I guess) that it's still the same edgy Kratos and the combat is still over the top when it comes to gore. I still prefer the Chaos blades over the Axe because it made combat look more flashy.

I admit, I was one of the people who were pissed at the changes. It gets flashier as the game goes on. Some of the fights and bosses are insanely good.

I was more of a DmC fan back in the day but I love the new direction GoW has taken. Virtually everything about the game is top notch. It's different from the previous games but it still feels like God of War.

It feels like a more grown up God of War. Like the original series was fantastic, but this is mastery of what it started.

I'm just surprised that the game is so good after not having a major release for what...six years? And to change so much stylistically was a gamble, but it paid off big time.

It makes me think of RE 4.and 7. Vastly different from the rest but extremely high quality.
