meet an Asian cutie last year
become friends with her
eventually work up the courage to ask her out
she agrees and we see a movie and then eat
we start going out more often
she was my first for a lot of things
took like two months to for me to finally kiss her
then we dated some more
eventually had sex
I noticed some red flags along the way, but felt way too much for her to pay attention
last week
she tells me that we should just end it
I couldn't believe it
she says that she's still thinking about her ex and that our relationship doesn't feel real to her
my heart felt like it was sinking
currently dying inside

It would have hurt more the longer it went on, now knowing that she's still sorting out other feelings. I've been in a relationship like that (where I was the one still sorting through things) and it made things genuinely miserable for myself and them on more than one occasion.

There's never any perfect response for this situation, but please remember that you got some good out of the relationship, learn from it, take your time to heal, and redirect your focus once you feel better about it.

I got drunk and texted her. Lines and lines of text. I know, I know so dumb. I couldn't contain myself. She revealed that she's been seeing someone else while we were dating. That she developed feelings for him and lost feelings for me. That she's been pretending for a while now. She wanted to end the relationship because she was tired of pretending to love me, while her whole mind was already with someone else....

Why shouldn't I just end it all now? :/

Start investing meaning and acceptance internally with yourself and stop seeking it from other people. Once you do that, relationships become a lot better and it's easier to avoid these types of situations. I know it sounds fucked up, but I avoid people who don't have all their shit together. I can't risk dropping down like that. If someone I know and dates starts off fine and plummets, I'll gladly pick them back up and help, but I'm not starting out being your life coach. Pick people that are good for you in the future, TC. Learn from this, don't you dare turn into an incel and just go through the healing process.

Thanks man. I've spent the last few hours writing it all out on paper and rationalizing it. I'm starting to feel a little better after letting it all out through writing. There's no use moping around. I hope this means that the hardest part is over
