with students? It's crazy. Males and females. In 2018 alone there have been 4 teachers within a 30 minute distance from me to get fired or arrested for it.

I think social media is a huge factor in this. Teachers being dumbasses and using snapchat with students, etc.

I can think of a couple high school teachers who fucked students and didn't get media attention while I was attending. Can't say how common it is now

Yep, blame all the information caching. The rate is probably no different than it used to be, maybe even less due to more stigmatization

Everything seems more prevalent these days due to the internet and social media. It probably happened when you were in school too, you just didn't know about it.

I wouldn't be surprised if most were female because of the double-standards and lesser social stigma when it applies to such crime. The very fact that media spreads the news about it subconsciously influences more female teachers to decide to be predatory as well

I mean, there are different standards when it comes to sex between men and women who are at least on a somewhat equal footing but it's different when you're talking about teaching positions... among other positions *wink*
