I realize it's not the best place, or even close to it, but recently was given a Gift Card, so am going to go.

Haven't been in ages, though. I usually went with Sweet Onion on Cheese and Herb, Provolone, all veggies with extra onion and pickle, then sweet onion and honey mustard.

Would rather something new.

What do you get?

Usually steak and cheese, tomatoes, spinich, onions and mayo

but when I worked there and got free shit I'd do egg, steak, bacon, and guac (because we had guac that summer). Omg that was heavenly.

It's nothing now cause they fucked up my sandwich like 3 times in a row. The last time I wasn't there when it was being made and they put so much Italian dressing on it I couldn't taste anything else and it was a soggy mess. Then Jimmy Johns starts giving me old bread that flakes apart. So I gotta start just making sandwiches at home again

I work there,so I try all sorts of combinations. Wouldn't pay for most of the food though..

In my opinion, at least at my location, the absolute best meat is the Rotisserie style chicken. My favorite tends to be..

Herb and Cheese Bread, Pepper Jack Cheese (Swiss when have it.), Rotisserie Chicken, and have it toasted with Tomatoes and Jalapeno on it; add Spinach, Olives and Pickles after its done toasting. Caeser dressing, light oil and vinegar.

footlong roasted or rotisserie chicken on Italian herb and cheese (until they bring back the garlic).
double meat
double white american cheese.
not or lightly toasted.
no veggies, no dressing, not cut.

How to turn subway from mediocre to decent:

Get something without meat, and add your own later

You'll thank me when you're not eating rubberised factory produced "almost-meat"

it's not hard to rip it in half. My local ones don't use clean knives each time, and I don't want to taste whatever the last customer got.

Back when I used to go, I'd get the black forest ham. Toasted with provolone, lettuce, tomato, black olives, onions, salt, pepper, vinegar, oil, and mayo.

No longer go though, since my grocery store has subs that are miles better. Same price, but use boar's head meat/cheese.

Sometimes I do get the oven roasted chicken over the sweet onion chicken teriyaki, it is cheaper, and you can add the sweet onion sauce.

Not as big a fan of the texture, though.

Yeah, it's a little more tender than tire rubber unfortunately

Rotisserie chicken is the GOAT though
