Board 8 > Is the Resident Evil 7 DLC worth getting?

RE7 Gold Edition has finally hit a price where I'm considering getting it even though I kind of wanted to get around to finishing the HD remakes, Rev2 and 6 (well, maybe not 6... unless the stories tie together somehow? I doubt it) first.

But I was just looking at the Steam reviews, and apparently the DLC mostly isn't more story, but a bunch of minigames? Looks like End of Zoe is the only one with a plot, the rest just have slightly silly scenarios. Which might be fun, I was just expecting more of it to be canon.

So, given the season pass would be about 10 extra, is it worth getting Gold for ~22, or stick with the base game for ~12?

Daughters, Not a Hero and End of Zoe are all story content. Daughters is a prequel and the other two are sequels. Not a Hero is free, but it's also, in my opinion, the weakest.

21 and Bedroom are also technically canon, but you don't miss much by not playing them.

The rest are just silly extra modes.

End of Zoe is the absolute best though. One of my favourite things in the Resident Evil canon.

Yes, there's the minigame stuff (some of that is technically canon too) but there's also another full story canon DLC too called Not a Hero which stars Chris and is a direct sequel to the end of the game which wraps up some story threads.

End of Zoe is a super fun beat 'em up sort of mode and has a lot of classic RE camp in its main character (think Barry-level goodness).
