Obviously its a movie based on a video game that doesnt have a plot, but it was almost incomprehensibly stupid.

The best part is when Dwayne Johnson is shot in the chest and seems to die. 2 minutes later hes back and is like lucky the bullet missed my major organs and does more action hero stuff with no injuries.

You're making it sound awesome.

Rock should shrug off all bullets in all movies.

It was very self aware of his "invincibility"
My favorite instance of that is when they had him handcuffed with zip ties for 10 minutes and when he needed to use his hands because actions sequence demanded it he simply popped them off instantly.

Its a dumb action movie that doesn't hold up to close scrutiny, but its fun.

There were some deep cut game references in there that I really appreciated, like the final battle taking place in Chicago because Rampage was made by Midway who were based in Chicago, and the monster on the space station in the beginning being the lab rat from the Atari Lynx version that added a 4th player.

But the best part was when The Rock was signing to the gorilla, and all through the movie he kept saying "It's me, Davis", but the sign he used for his name was the sign for "rock".

My wife picked up on the fact that the woman who was eaten by george was wearing a red dress like in the original game.

I expected the movie to be dumb, of course. I was just surprised by how dumb it was.
