.....sitting on your ass all day for many hours and doing absolutely nothing? I've heard some people say their work is so lax that it would take days or more.

That's basically what I did for a month.

To be fair, they didn't actually give me work, they gave me study materials for my advancement test and told me to study. And I did, just... not the materials they gave me >_>. Still worked out though.

I had a job when I was younger where I basically did nothing for an entire year.

I was promoted to a new position ina new dept. that never materialized and just sat in limbo for an entire year.

i would take 3 hour lunches or just never go back after lunch.

Current jobs - immediately. If the parents who might be watching don't notice and complain, they'll know if they check the video.

Use to have a job where I worked maybe 3 hours out of a 12 hour shift. I'd just sit in my machine and read.

I have my own office. I could sit around playing games all day if I wanted and no one would know. Im in sales though, so they would notice my numbers dropping.

My boss doesn't really care as long as I get done what I need to get done. If it's a slow day, I don't need to compensate. I can just take my time.

it was at a local bank. not at a branch though. more administrative work.

It's online retail. The orders we get are the orders we get and I know how much time is required, so I pace myself accordingly. There are days that are busier and I just don't slack off much those days and sometimes don't bother taking a break because I really don't need one. The boss isn't around that much and everyone has their own stuff to do, so they all pace themselves just like I do. Really, so long as everyone gets all their shit done by the time it needs to be done, the boss is happy.
