TheWorstPoster 04/20/18 12:36:16 AM #1:	They are otherwise strange glyphs with seemingly random curves, lines, and two of them have dots. In two separate forms, as well. Why make a strange visual way of communication, when the letters have no instructions or indications as to HOW they should sound like? Take the letter "B". It's a line with two half circles on its right side. jramirez23 04/20/18 12:42:04 AM #4:	I think maybe it was because in really old times they were pictures of some object and as time progressed, sounds became attached to them and then it became possible for a picture to represent something other than what it is a picture of, like Hieroglyphics. --- When you have mastered numbers, you will in fact no longer be reading numbers, any more than you read words when reading books. And later, Latin changed some sounds around as well. And then even later, some Angles, Saxons, and Normans got their hands on them and changed even more around.
