I sure did. Two total system failures on two 360s. Never happened to me with any other hardware. What the fuck happened back then to make them think that was okay?

I'd wager that most of the people saying "yes" were referring to a 360.

My first ps3 YLOD'd. The slim I got to replace it runs kinda funny at times. My 360 still works, but I didn't use it nearly as much so it's not really an apples-to-apples comparison.

I have a 360 with the RROD. And my brother somehow, within days of each other, caused both my GameCube and PS2 to stop reading discs... And then got both of the newer versions. But he was forced to share with me since he broke mine...

I played the hell out of my 360s, admittedly. It had a great library for the first half of its life cycle before triple A game companies changed their business model and the games stopped being worth even the price of the disc they're minted on.

I do remember hearing similar problems with PS3, now that you mention it, including a few reports of fires when it was left on too long. Man, what a fucked up console generation.

This is one reason why, on that siblings day, I was thankful to be an only child when I saw everybody sharing their photos and stuff.

my 360 did RROD, but that's not what I voted for. over the years I have had melted and burnt computer parts. no fires or explosions though, just lots of acrid smoke in the worst case.

Maybe I should have instead said that most folks who experienced a problem like that had it happen to a 7th generation console since there are quite a few here complaining about ps3s. I never had a Sony console til ps4 and hardly anyone I know had a ps3, so my sample size there was small.

I had ten RRoDs. Two of them were refurbished ones they shipped me after a previous RRoD.
