Generally speaking, you don't get a high karma account if you don't plan on keeping it going. And not just for the sake of the karma. If you're the kind of person who would get high karma in the first place, it's because you enjoy the site and use it regularly. That doesn't typically go away, even if your interests change, because this site is for far more than just video games.

If I visit a 150 karma board with 3000+ myself, sure the higher levels can try laughing at me, but at the end of the day I also outrank the target level for the board so I can walk away smiling
