I'm imagining something like AoU with exhausting back-to-back action sequences that blur together in your mind, constant mile a minute one-liners in place of sincere characterization and network building, and no heart. I felt the same thing about the first Avengers movie, and was surprised, only to walk into the second Avengers movie and see it struggling under the weight of everything its trying to do. I want it to be good, but haven't yet found the confidence that it will be. But I've also been invested in finishing this story since the Avengers six years ago, so I'm going to see it. --- Whatever happened to standards?
