I don't know of anyone blaming Dems specifically, though iirc only two voted against going in.

While the culpability of an individual senator is limited, the fact that Hillary voted for Iraq means she isn't exactly blameless. Ditto for Biden and Kerry and Schumer

It's worth noting, imo: at the time of the Iraq War resolution, there were 50 Democrats in the Senate, 49 Republicans, and Jim Jeffords, an ex-Republican who was independent and caucusing with Democrats.

Had every Democrat voted against the resolution, it would not have passed. Jeffords voted against it. Instead, they voted 29-21 in favor of it.

yeah but it is also worth pointing out that the murky public distinction between the iraq and afghanistan wars is often used to promote the idea that there was super broad consensus over invading Iraq. While it is true that more of the U.S., both public and elected officials, were bellicose towards the middle east during this time period, there were plenty of people dissenting even at the time. It's not a case where hindsight is 20/20 or something.
