Maybe I missed it or maybe it was so small that I didnt even notice it. I really liked the LotR movie, It kept me interested throughout the movie. It does make me want to watch the rest now. If you've seen Godfather part 1 and 2, you have to finish that off at least. I'm not saying LotR was bad, just needed a heavy handed editor to get things back on track, they could have done it in 2 movies imho. I think me expecting it to be a typical action movie made the movie even much better because I wasnt really expecting the outcome of it.
