For example, Near the end of the movie there's only one rebel ship left, and they need a distraction so the survivors can land on Crait. Laura Dern's character decides to sacrifice herself to save the rebels. It's a hero moment, and it falls in line with established themes in past Star Wars movies. In A New Hope. Obi-wan sacrificed himself so Luke, Han and Leia can get off the Death Star. It's something that makes sense in the setting. So after a character sacrifices herself to move the plot, a few moments later Finn is about to sacrifice himself to save the rebels, but all of a sudden Rose comes out of nowhere and stops him and spits out some nonsense about "we don't do that! we don't sacrifice ourselves for the greater good! we have to fight them with love...!" What in the flying fuck? Where is that coming from? It's absolute nonsense. It's like they stopped the natural progression of plot and storytelling so Luke can have a force heart attack and die for no reason.
