I'm not a medical professional, but it could be that something you're eating is irritating the vagus nerve. There's not really anything a doctor can do about it, but if you experiment with your diet and keep a journal recording what you've ate and when you experience it, you may be able to find and eliminate the trigger. It's possible you have a food intolerance to something, like gluten, dairy, eggs, corn, soy, etc. You can also support your nervous system with B12 and lemon balm (alcohol-free extracts tend to be the most effective).
