I will make my oatmeal not from quaker instant brown sugar and maple oatmeal in the microwave, but from old fashioned oats on the stove top.

Step 1. Toasting the oats in a pan with butter.
the first step has been complicated by the cat getting into the cabinet and knocking a bottle of apple cider vinegar off the shelf. But they are now in the oven.

So far they have been pretty pleasant about it, but I still have to decide if I am going to keep the money and a fucked up fender or if I am going to get it fixed.
