The Caravan: Alex Mensing, one of the US collaborators who works for Pueblo Sin Fronteras, a caravan of 1,100 people, started in the city of Tapachula, which is located in the state of Chiapas, Mexico, and borders Guatemala. The caravan is currently in Oaxaca, Mexico, about 420 miles from their starting point. Mensing said the migrants would turn themselves in and request asylum. Because, where they're from, it's not safe to live, not with drug cartels running rampant and exercising their dominance with killings in their street. Those in the government who focus on international affairs are understanding of this as literal human lives on the table so they have to lenient. And realize that a big factor in why they have to escape from their homes in Central America is because the US is an incredible benefactor to cartels. Ignoring the drug flow coming into the US, guns sold to the cartels are mostly from the US (I'm talking at least 70%) and Cartels do business with HSBC for their money laundering needs. tennisdude818 04/03/18 9:03:36 AM #30:	Trump Threatens To End NAFTA, Foreign Aid Unless "Immigrant Caravan" Is Stopped For the third time in less than a week, Trump has sounded the alarm about the "huge caravan" of Latin American immigrants traveling through Mexico unobstructed by local authorities, and seeking asylum at the US border. Previously, Trump used the caravan as an example of why his border wall needs to be built and also as an excuse to attack Democrats for their part in watering down border-security measures included in the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill. He's also attacked the Mexican government for ignoring the situation, ominously threatening to remember their negligence as NAFTA negotiations continue. Today, he took his threats one step further by not only threatening to kill NAFTA - Mexico's "cash cow" - but also to cut off foreign aid to "Honduras and the countries that allow this to happen" before closing with: "Congress must act now!" The migrants, mostly Guatemalans and Hondurans, are hoping to escape brutality and violence that proliferates in both countries: "The crime rate is horrible, you can't live there," a migrant named "Karen" told BuzzFeed News on the side of a highway near the Southern Mexico town of Huixtla. Local farmers, dentists, etc cant compete against free goods and services.
