Do you think it's smart of me to move to another state in hopes of finding a job after graduation? Or would it be smarter to stay in my home state, work at a company related to my desired career, and then apply to companies out-of-state while working here? It's not a smart idea to move to another state without any leads on the jobs I want to find there, right? But I've stayed in this state for like twenty-four years, and I really, really want to get the hell out of here. On the other hand, I might fail and end up having to come back.

But if I were to move elsewhere, there would be another problem: I cannot drive. So I really don't think it'd be practical for me to move somewhere and work a respectable job without a reliable transportation system. I mean, I can't really drive at all; I just suck at it, and I cannot function under pressure of operating a vehicle, knowing that my inexperience will one day lead to an accident. Even during my first driver's test, I bombed because I was incredibly nervous and for the first time felt like a novice at driving. It was like I was zoning out and worrying to the point that I couldn't concentrate on the road. In any case, I don't think I'll be driving for a while (until at least summer time, when I have more time to practice, if my anxiety does not rend me of the ability to do so). Once, I almost got into an accident because of my carelessness and inattention, and I'm very worried that I'm just not cut out to drive. Since then, I've been feeling like I have absolutely no confidence in my driving skills. I function like crap under stress, in all honesty, and I don't think I'll ever get my license. What do you think?

Can you find a job and then move? I would try to do that. What kind of work are you doing? If it's in demand enough but you can't find a job before moving for whatever reason, I'd still move. You shouldn't live somewhere if you hate it and there are options.

You should get a bike and/or move somewqhere with good public transit. I don't have a car and it's barely ever an issue.

You should probably look at a job as a condition for moving. Can't see any landlord will renting to an out-of-state young man with no job lined up.

I plan on entering the actuarial field, but I still have a bunch of exams to study for and courses to take before I can actually enter the field.

For now, I've decided on trying to just find a job at some insurance company or something... And now I'm worried because I realize that this isn't really a clear-cut plan.

Ideally you should try to find a job and then move. But if that doesn't work out I don't think you should give up. Do you have a more speicifc idea about where you want to move? And do you know anybody there who might help?

I do not have an idea of where to move, nor do I know any one who might help me. All I know is that I want to get out of here; so that's like another reason to stay in this state.

At least, until I decide on where specifically I want to move to. I was hoping that I'd move someplace where someone has already considered me for employment.

Immortality has been successfully achieved, twice, on the same day. One was by scientists who successfully transferred the mind of a dying child into a fully functional robot. The other was by another group who successfully cloning a volunteer, making it the first adult clone in history."

"April 9th, 2024:
Yesterday, we mistakenly typed the wrong year in our article about immortality being achieved twice on the same day. Where it said 2034, it should have been 2024. We apologize for any inconvenience the error may have caused our readers."
