So just got back from a trip and when I renewed my perscriptions it said I had to see my doctor before any more renewals.

So I'm like ok, head to the website and go to make an appointment.

I get confused (sad I know) at first as it says the first (and only available) date to be seen is March 31st. I think that is in 2 months (yes I get may and march confused sometimes) and check with other doctors but nobody has any available dates before that.

I'm totally boggled and then I realize that TODAY is march 31st.

Now....there is a reason for my confusion, I have never gotten an appointment before within 2 weeks. A same day appointment is insane!! I couldn't even imagine it was for today.

Not only that, but it looks like every freaking doctor at the office is available today (Cause they all said March 31st lol).

So not sure what is going on, but whatever, I have a doctors appointment in a few hours (Seriously just logged on to do this and the appointment is in 2 hours). Talk about right away!!

Did something happen when I was on the east coast? Magically doctors became more available or something? Did 75% of the west coast population go poof or die from the flu?

I'm still boggled.

We tend to have to phone up at 8:30am to book a appointment with the Doctor on that day over here. That's unless you've booked appointments at the Doctors request before that. It's a little anoying as at 8:30 the lines are always busy and when you get through around 10 minutes later they tend to have very little appointments or none at all left. Thankfully I have my next two appointments booked already for next week. :\

Wow, that is pretty nice.

Never been able to book one on the same day before.

I have a friend who was jelous that I could book one in 2 weeks last time, lol...she goes through the military (Through her husband) and it sometimes takes her 3 months to get seen for a general appointment.

It's never been that long for me, but it's been over a month quite a few times, hence why I thought it wasn't till May 31st....which is just waay to long.

I'm selling my house and moving, I may not even be here by then!! (probably won't sell my house that fast, but still...too long).

Yeah despite the complaints I admit the NHS over here is a lot better than most if not all the other countries.

I could move to England actually........I would freaking love that, though I'd need to visit first.

Only thing is, I really really don't like long flights. Woah, I just looked it up and there are transalantic cruises from Seattle.

Wonder if they let you do them one way only lol...gonna check into that.

Better yet, let you go there, get off and visit, then come back...so I can check it out before moving!:)

Just got back from my appointment, crazy, made the appointment, drove there, had it, and came back within 4 hours lol.

Stupid A1c is worse though due to eating badly on the cruise and in NY (and I drank soda alot as well). Going to have to be really good in the near future to make up for it:(

I love pizza so much, why does it have to be so bad for me?
