It was a fun co-op experience for sure. It starts a bit slow but its worth it.

How many hours did it take to complete?

8ish probably, it's not terribly long but we also probably missed a few interactable moments so 7-10 hours seems like a good estimate. We did get somewhat competitive with the little minigames you can play so we had to best-of-three a few times as well. :p

Cool. Me and my buddy just beat the Secret of Mana remake together and were looking for another good co-op game to play.

I watched a comedic playthrough of it on twitch, and even after all their goofing around they couldn't help but get serious toward the end. Fuck that ending, man.

Yes! The game definitely felt a little rough around the edges at times - I think a big part of that also comes from mainly playing highly polished big budget games prior to this as well so it's not a super fair comparison - but it was very successful at building up your emotional response and knowing how to manipulate you as a result. I also had a very casual attitude towards it for most of the game but I was really impressed when all was said and done.
