That's how local news works. The majority of local news networks are owned by a select few companies that will push certain stories, views, or talking points if they feel like it. Same with radio.

Do you guys not know about Sinclair Broadcasting? Its a conservative media giant that owns huge numbers of local news stations, and is set to own even more in the near future due to the repeal of laws that limited ownership of multiple stations in the same market.
Sinclair feeds the local stations they own segments like these that they are required to air during their broadcast without question. Guaranteed theyre all reading off the script they were given by them. Its pretty disheartening that a single group has such massive control of local media outlets.
