You left out the option I tend to use most (when the opportunity presents itself). Park normally, but drive across that spot into the next spot so I can just drive out later on.

So basically, pull into a spot and drive out of the spot.

Mostly drive in and pull out. But I will do the drive up to the next forward space and drive out.

How do you usually park?

I turn into my destination and slowly decelerate my speed until I come to a complete spot.

That's why I said "usually". The pull through option isn't always there. As is the more rare, drive out through a now open spot.

That's how I usually park because I park at the far ends of parking lots so I don't have to back out/in

Got it, you're that far away parking person. I'm betting you wash your car too.

I generally try to find a spot where I can pull in and go across to the opposite spot so that I can just hop in the car and not have to reverse to exit

Of course thats not always possible

I pull in and usually forward or back a little to straighten out the wheels and then back into the spot.

Parking w/ barriers/curb - pull in, back out when leaving.
Parking w/no barriers/curb - pull into a spot, drive across the line into the adjacent spot so I can leave by driving forward later.

I favor parking as close as I can, unless I can find a spot where I can do the latter style of parking a little bit further back.

The last time I reverse parked I bumped into the car behind me. I haven't since and I never will again.

It depends on the situation. If I see a spot on the left, but a truck across and over from it is sticking out, then I'll turn into the on-coming "lane" and cut back to the right, in order to back in on my non-blind-side. I couldn't pull in forwards because my truck won't make the left, so I'd have to back up then have to shimmy between the truck behind me and whatever is in front of me until I was facing the spot enough to get in.

If the situation is that there are two spots facing each other and no vehicle across impeding me, I'll pull into one then drive forward into the other so that I'm facing out.

Each situation is different, but I always make sure I'm centered and not crooked. I hate it when I can tell someone just made a last-minute hard-right because their ass-end is poking into the spot beside theirs. It's actually against by-law in Calgary to use two spots if your vehicle can fit into one. So if I have the time, I will report it. No excuse for bad parking and not taking the extra three seconds to correct and show others some (not so) common courtesy.

Yep.

Downtown street parking: classic parallel parking

Parking lot: pull through to the next space so I'm facing out.

At home, mostly: pull in, back out

At home, when I want underhood access for maintenance: back in.
