I've only watched the reboot and only until near the end of Matt Smith's run so... I'd probably pick Tennant out of those. As for would I want to travel, well.... it's super dangerous but his actual companions always seem to survive (although not always the random people he meets who help him out) so a few brief adventures might be fun. Certainly wouldn't bring anybody along, since the *friends* of companions frequently run into trouble.

For things I'd want to see, probably a few planets, maybe some older America (which is always rare -- usually it's some place in Britain), and some future places. Granted, a lot of his adventures are set in the present day where weird shit is randomly happening so those would be a bit of a buzzkill.

I mean, they are usually alive. Though, not always on the best situation. Also, in the older series, I know of one who does die. And kind of one who has died a couple times in the newer show... Either way, as a companion, things should work out for you...
