Or the Nonary Games? They're all on sale and I've never played these games before but I've heard they're all good.

It's a tough call, but I gotta give it to The Nonary Games. That gets you the first 2 games in the Zero Escape Trilogy, 999 and Virtues Last Reward. After them, get Zero Time Dilemma.

I love Danganronpa to death, but I love Zero Escape a bit more.

I haven't played Zero Escape, but I heard it's good.

But Danganronpa is one of my favorite series ever, so I have a big vote for that one. I'm probably biased though.

DR is Phoenix Wright, but it's also anime to the maximun, Zero series is more escape room type stuff.

Can't go wrong with either, tbh.

The only thing is that Zero Time Dilemma is...not that great.

Nonary games are pretty great (I played the original versions on DS and 3DS). Still been waiting for a decent sale for the PC ZTD before I pick that up

Only played Danganronpa 1 so far (own DR2 but haven't gotten around to it) and enjoyed it but the weeaboo factor in that game is significantly higher than the Zero Escape games if that's something that bothers you

So Nonary Games and Danganropa together would probably be the best choice huh?

Yes. If you can go for both go for both. Worth every dollar.

As I understand it, the presentation of the Nonary Games (that's the packaged trilogy right?) fucks up some really important plot aspects/secret mechanics of 999. So rather I recommend playing the actual DS release of 999.

Virtue's Last Reward is one of the best visual novels ever made. Zero Time Dilemma has some really good ideas but fumbles with the execution and fails to connect plot threads from throughout the series into a cohesive story.

Danganronpa is super anime, has a weird sort of almost date sim aspect to it where you can spend time with other characters, though it doesn't really impact the plot. Danganronpa 2 is really good. People say the third game is fantastic until the last 10%.

Consider Phoenix Wright if you haven't played it
