How'd you do that? You only get melody by beating Cadance? And it should be a lot easier because Lute is kind of OP.


I think Bard counts as well. I beat all zones with bard since he's basically easy mode.

Ahh true, you technically get to the grave where the lute is. The bard makes a lot of sense as to his powers when you play as Aria. The little story the game has is pretty good at linking and subtly letting you know why people have those kinds of abilities. I think it's awesome.

True, same here, I like to wait and see what the other banners are gonna give us. But I think Leif and pals are also coming in april so you may not want to go all out on the legendary banner.

And yeah, the bard is the prequel to Cadance. In fact, the reason why he's able to move like he does is because there's no curse in the crypt. Only after he curses the crypt does that happen.

Granted if you ever manage to beat Aria you'll learn A LOT more about the lute. It's pretty awesome plot to find out.

Oh there is more to learn. Anyway time to practice Aria and never fucking up, unless you have a potion and then also getting the glass armor so you can tank a hit otherwise...well start over.

But really props to you and try out Aria for that sick remix by familyjules, I really enjoy it, but IT IS HARDER TO PLAY WITH. For me at least he seems to improvise which makes some beats not as apparent as others. But you get used to it. I think it adds to the challenge.

I haven't needed to go full tilt since Nohrian Summer (oh, that was a bad time) but I usually leave cushions from Legendaries and such. I have no interest in Thracia or anything like that because I know that they'll be added to the main pool, so if I get them, I get them. Doesn't have to be right away.

Seasonals are what scare me and I want another bunny so bad. Hopefully not Alfonse.

Anyone discover good real-world songs from games? I discovered two of my favorite bands from games. Poets of the Fall from Max Payne 2 and Genki Rockets from the Wii version of No More Heroes (I think Heavenly Star plays in the clothing store). If I hadn't discovered GR there, I would have in Child of Eden.

From Rez, I found Mind Killer by Adam Freeland and California Soul by Marleena Shaw (the first few seconds are sampled in the area 5 midboss). Also found Shira Kammen when watching videos for Braid. She makes some excellent violin music.

On a semi-related note, after hearing the badass instrumental metal soundtrack of Painkiller (the game, not the Judas Priest album), I thought that action movie trailers should use instrumental metal as well. But after watching Hardcore Henry, I also realized less serious songs (Don't Stop Me Now by Queen, in this case) can add enjoyment to an action scene as well.
