It's okay. Pretty edgelord grimdark, and season 2 (titled ROOT A) completely diverges from the manga. The manga itself used to have some very interesting themes that seem to have been dropped in the second half for a more shonen-friendly formula.
If you've got the time the first season isn't bad, but it ends on a major cliffhanger so really you're better off just passing on it.
