So I messaged this girl on OKC a while back and we talked for a bit. Recently she asked me to text her and gave me her number. I looked up her number and I'm seeing on several different websites that it belongs to a 79 year old man. I tell her that I need proof that she's actually a woman and not an old man. So I call her (but block my number). She picks up and it's a woman's voice. Do you think I should actually text her and give her my number?

Yes, you should text her. You can block her on your smartphone (she can't text or call you) if things get out of hand later.
