Think it was a combination of them having already bled cast members and the showrunner being too burned out to just jump straight into one. Last I read, he still intended to do it when he came up with a good idea but if they can't get at least the original 7 back (even if a couple just cameo), I doubt it'll happen.

Most of them are more than ready to go though, it's just that Donald Glover's career blew up and he's super busy/possibly over the show and Chevy Chase is a wild card.

I like Joel and am happy for him, but I'm not a huge fan of the show

like i'm glad he rips those gossipy "reality" tv shows, but his jokes following the clips are rarely good, nor are they delivered particularly well. he kinda just regurgitates whatever it is he's mocking, to the point where it's only five episodes in and it's already predictable.

i was happy about the Community bit, i really wanted something like that to happen and was glad when it happened in episode one

I am pretty sure they are still planning a movie. The smart move would be to do it like a college reunion so waiting a few years is not that big of a deal.
