people have always cared about torture. they, including me, also didn't like his indiscriminate drone attacks as well as trump's both of which resulted in needless innocent deaths. the good thing about this is that now she is out in the open she can be prosecuted for her war crimes, so thanks trump for making that possible.

Does it really matter she'll probably be there for like two weeks and either resign due to gross disagreement with the administration, resign due to some sort of sexual harassment scandal, or get fired due to a disagreement with the administration.

unfortunately many of them have access to large campaign warchests and are generally well liked by their constituents for other reasons, so they win their primaries
ideological purity is nice and all, but when faced between a democrat who you agree with on 50% of things and a republican who you disagree with on 90% of things, and both are supportive of torture, then it's easy to see why the democrat is voted for
