There's literally zero skill involved as a computer decides if you win or lose before you ever draw a card

How so? It's a fact.

Unlike with a physical card game that relies on skill and how well you shuffle your cards, a digital one has an algorithm decide if you win or lose before a card is ever drawn based on how it distributes your cards

No, but how you shuffle your deck can make a major difference between good draws and shitty ones

Yeah if you use totally legit strategies like card pairing, not cheating at all...

I know this is a troll topic, but I should note that even if you and your opponent both knew each other's hands and the order of the decks (let's just assume no shuffles within the game), it wouldn't be clear in most cases who "should" win.

I kinda got annoyed at Hearthstone for being too RNG focused so I havent been playing it as often as I used to.

How isn't not clear that these card games are glorified coin flip? Again, before a single card is drawn by either of you, an algorithm decides if you're going to win or lose.

Online card games are cheaper and don't take up physical space.

Though really there shouldn't be a difference between how often you get good hands if you make your deck well. Unless you are a shitty shuffler.

Actually very true. Tried my hand at the dungeon expansion and lost on the final fight (8th fight) cause of RNG every single time.

Tell me how is one suppose to fight much less win when I keep getting King Toliwogg as the final fight and he gets the stupid "rod of disintegration" every other turn?
For those who do not know what it is it is a 3 cost enemy side only board wipe that also silences so no death activated skills.
And of course I am the enemy side.

the harder you press the button the longer the RNG goes so you can influence the shuffle

the assumption here is that games play out the same way based on the cards you draw, which is untrue

good players can make reads that change their plays in ways that increase their chance to win.

its a LOT of RNG, but there are decisions to be made that can usually change the outcome

source: someone who played lots of hearthstone and lost a lot in matches I should have won, but wasn't good enough to make the right decisions
