Is a previously unpopular and financially failed movie, book, character that a bunch of Gen X nerds and hipsters latched onto and tried to make popular.
Hopefully future generations will be able to objectively look at these pieces of fiction for what they are since Gen X'ers can't seem to turn off their nostalgia filter. --- I think I need a drink. Almost everybody does only they don't know it. -- Charles Bukowski ... Copied to Clipboard!

2 of 3 movies that pop up in Google under cult classic movies are The Big Lebowski and Donnie Darko.

Pulp Fiction had its moments but overall no. But I'm also not a fan of Tarantino in general.
Never seen Fight Club. Evil Dead I've never seen more than once. So I guess I'm at least indifferent to it. --- I think I need a drink. Almost everybody does only they don't know it. -- Charles Bukowski ... Copied to Clipboard!

Gen X'ers might not be able to turn off their nostalgia filter, but you apparently can't turn off your "What I Think About a Movie Determines Its Objective Quality" filter.
