That doesn't make sense. What a joke. DUI is one of the most repeated offenses in the US. Go to a state like New Mexico or Texas. The penalties for DUI are a joke, hence you will see some people with 8+ DUI's. There was a story in a town I used to live in New Mexico where this guy just got out of prison for killing someone while intoxicated ended up killing another person while intoxicated again not more than a week after he got out of prison because of severely lax punishment.
