Yeah but they didn't even have lassiter in the movie. After watching Galavant I kind of love lassiter's actor now.

It was bizarre to even make a "movie" that doesn't really do anything.

iirc, Lassiter's actor had a stroke, or something like that, and it was likely the best he could do

It's in my DVR queue. I somehow doubt that I'll ever get around to watching it, though.

He's better now. I believe they're planning on making more films and he's going to be in the next one.

I thought this film was ok, it was more like a longer episode, but I liked it better than any of the episodes in the final season.

If nothing else, there was one part that really did make me laugh, the black ninja henchman guy. When Shawn and Gus were no longer afraid and just clapping in awe at his acrobatic moves, that was pretty funny.

I've only seen a handful of episodes of that show, but I didn't like how Gus was always completely useless.

Same beef with Sherlock. Why is Watson even there? The MC can handle everything on his own. Waste of a talented actor.

I thought it was a ton of fun and pretty much what I'd expect and want from a Psych movie.

And it helped make up for how bad a lot of the final season was. Which wasn't even advertised as such until there were 5 episodes left.

I mostly liked the film because Kirsten Nelson was back. The season without her was dreadful.

I didnt like it. I dont regret watching it, and I dont hate it, but it definitely felt pointless. I dont really blame them for shoehorning in a bunch of characters just because, yet I thought the way they did some of them just didnt meet a certain standard. I didnt watch the last season, though I did catch the last episode once, and I wasnt very interested. The show just kind of fell of the map for me, but I believe that it can be worth watching again if they do it right. I dont really know how to explain why I dont care for it much anymore.

I also have issues with Roday in general now. He did a movie called Gravy that was really dumb and felt like a off-beat comedy in the style of Psych. He was in a movie called Christmas Eve, one of the ensemble cast movies, and he just... played Sean, or is he playing himself? I dont know, he needs to expand his horizons.

That's good. Well I hope he gets better at any rate.

Also what's with all these posts about the final season though? It's been a while so I don't remember it (or any of the seasons really) but I don't remember it being any different from any of the other seasons in the past.

It was incredibly hit and miss, some of the episodes were really not good, and the better ones were just okay. I think there were only a couple I enjoyed.
What was weird is it never felt like a slow decline of the series from season to season. It was just all of a sudden not good for the last one.

This. Not sure what there wasn't to like about it. It was an hour and half long episode of Psych.

And we got some excellent bonuses of finally getting to meet Iris all grown up, actually see Shawn and Juliet get married, and give what I think they're setting up to be an endgame relationship for Gus. The latter two of which, changed the status quo to an extent, which makes them, and the movie, not pointless. (Even if how fun it was didn't do that for me already.)

Also was that... Chuck in a blond wig/blonde dyed hair? I feel like there was a joke there that they just couldn't quite give a punchline to. Felt like there was a joke missed.

The movie was fine. It was a solid extended episode of the series, which is what it should've been. The thing with Timothy Omundson was unfortunate but they handled it as well as they could.

I've been in a rewatch in the series and I hit the last season, which I've only seen as it aired, and it hasn't been as bad as the first time around. I'm not sure if it's because of the bingewatching, or what. It's still overall not as good, but it's not as bad as I remember thinking it was. It could also just be the lowered expectations.

Can't imagine binge watching this show, I'd burn out after 3 episodes, 1 episode if I ever watched it now. It's still fun just incredibly samey, kinda serialized really.

It's actually one of my absolute favorite shows to binge watch when I don't feel like watching or rewatching anything else.

In fact what made me do so this time was a topic talking about 'comfort shows' or something and a number of people said Psych.
