Nothing. I put it into my savings account. Last time I saved this much though, was back in 2012 and it was more around 3 grand. Then I blew that on a whole bunch of shit that year I didn't really need at the time looking back. So I decided to start again and it went well and I learned from that lesson to manage money better.

10. Pretty fucking proud Id say. Usually I blow my money on cycling related gear and components and all cause that shit is expensive alone. But I got everything I need for the next season anyhow and beyond before that starts.

I wouldn't mind a liquid diet though for food. I usually eat clean all the time anyways and use a juicer from half the time so it would be simple. Easy peasy.

I got an e-mail from those hiring managers for that Data Analyst internship telling me to fill out a form that asked stuff about me. They told me to turn it in "immediately" because they were just on the verge of deciding who got the internship. I got really nervous and felt pressured when they told me this. Anyway, the form asked stuff like why I would be a good candidate for the internship, what I hope to gain from the experience, and what skills I was going to bring to the company. I got really nervous and freaked out because I really didn't have any idea how to answer any of these questions (especially the former two). I really just suck so hard at talking about myself and my aspirations. I'm just not an interesting person, and it just didn't feel like it was worth it. So I deleted the e-mail and now I'll be working at the place I work at right now, for the summer. Am I a complete imbecile?

Yes, and no. For one.. NEVER pass up an opportunity in your life. It could lead to better things. Hell, I work in a damn factory all day long lifting heavy shit. So yeah pal... things could be better someday when you apply yourself. So things are bound to be shaken up soon and when you realize it, and wont be all that bad and you take what you are given. But anyways.. I cant say for certain on how you should have answered the questions. All I can say is that answer them truthfully and whatever comes naturally.

If this is one of your first "real interviews" then it's fine. Reflect on those questions, think of STAR, get your answer together and prepare it mentally for the next time you're asked for it.

I was in an interview a long time ago and the interviewer asked me "why do you want to work in this position?" which completely blindsided me. I wanted to work there for the cash obviously. Luckily it wasn't a job I really wanted (hence me being befuddled by the question) but if I ever get asked that question in the future I'll know how to answer it. I haven't yet, but every interview where I get blindsided like a question like that, completely fuck up and lose my rhythm/confidence, I take a lesson away from that and improve myself.

When a job comes along that you really want and you get asked these exact same questions and this time you've prepared for it, you'll be laughing :)

It's not a matter of being an imbecile.

But you need to be brave and face your incecurities. Why don't you talk to your family about it? There's no shame in failing an interview or things like that. With every failure you get experience and you get to know where you went wrong therefore giving yourself a chance to improve.

Be dedicated to yourself. You deserve it.

Be the best you can be; dig deep and find courage.

If you don't, sooner or later you'll get too old and you'll run out of time. Your survivability will depend on this.

@EclairReturns

Why do you always use people's AMA topics to ask for advice about your own life? It's weird af. If you want advice, just make your own topic.

But to answer your question... you should have made an attempt to answer those questions. You're going to get asked stuff like that all the time for jobs, by the way. It's better to start learning it sooner than later. And if you aren't going to be able to answer questions like that, you might as well stop wasting your time and money in college because just having a degree (even if it's a really good one with good grades) isn't going to magically get you a job by itself. But the much better option, of course, is to learn how to deal with those questions.

Its all good though. Really. Ive said ask me "anything", so anything goes and I didnt mind giving out life advice. Let me put it this way. Im 27. And I was once unemployed for 3 years of my life. I mean, not all the time as a few temp jobs here or there. But thankfully, Ive taken what I could right now and its stable. So long as its stable for now until something better comes along, then its all good. Hell, I even apply myself to jobs on the board at my place that I have no experience in too. The thing is, maybe they will train you. You never know. If maybe one day they see the potential when they see a hard worker such as myself then you never know. There is a lot I could go on and on about, but its all just a matter of factors thrown in and choices made along the way. I may not be doing what I want with my life at this rate, but that may change for the better career wise. Well... at least for the better half of me doing competitive cycling every summer which is a real life experience of what I truly love and live by. There is nothing better then to get out of work at the end of the day on a Friday, and get ready to compete against others on the track :)

Anyways..Im just rambling on here.. I guess if I were to word anything I suppose it would be a lot like my competitive cycling. Its also a competitive world out there too and keep in mind that you arnt the only person applying for that job and so on. But I don't want to bring any negatives into that since thats just how it is sadly. And its just the way life works sometimes. So thats why I mentioned to never pass up an opportunity. But dont worry. Keep an eye or two open, and that door will open for ya ;)

I feel ya man.. actually, Im sort of in the same situation here. Long story short, even I have my own problems too. Currently wanting to live out west I mean. Most specifically Las Vegas because thats where my boyfriend lives and even though Ive been out there many times in our four year relationship, well.. whats the one thing that holds me back? Nothing really except my competitive cycling. In fact, thats the one thing I only have going for me here ever the summer season and I hate to keep bringing it up here, but its the truth when you find something you love to do as well. And there is no velodrome out in Vegas. Just a bunch of slot machines, hehe... heck, the closest track is only a few hours away though in L.A. Never been to it, but it is sure nicer then the one we have here I can tell ya that.

So..yeah... currently things are just kind of in a stand still in life's decisions I cant have an answer or solution to at the moment.
