How To Kill Your Candidacy In One Question and Self-Answer by Stacey Dash

She was asked about the "good people on both sides" comment from Trump about Charlottesville. She goes on a tirade about constitutional rights and violence on both sides then ends with the greatest gem of all time:

Do I know every person in the Neo-Nazi party, if they have a good heart or not? No, I dont.

This subject reminded me of this article, one of the best I've ever read, and one that has stuck with me.

http://wapo.st/2FwRORz

They don't consider themselves Nazis (though obviously they have some despicable beliefs), and obviously the kid who is highlighted was reasoned with, so I'm not sure if it really fits with this perfectly, but seriously, read it!

I do think the article subtly highlights why cities tend to be liberal. I think it's tough to have certain mindsets of the Republican party when you are actually exposed to a diverse set of people and see how they are impacted by certain policies and systems in place.

Trump rally ended up on in the background. I mean, I read excerpts sometimes, but watching it live is pretty insane. I don't understand how people who go this are entertained by it. About half of it is complaining about his media coverage (queue him saying he doesn't have time to watch TV LOL).

Also, from a political perspective, he briefly brought up Saccone at the start but hasn't mentioned voting on Tuesday since (25 minutes in at least).

While I'm at that topic, lol at the RNC having to spend so much time and money on this race, when the district will not even exist soon. I actually understand the logic of it, they don't want more guys tempted to retire after an embarrassing loss, but man. Unless saccone wins by maybe 5+ points, this is pretty much a loss for republicans no matter what happens..

Ive never understood this either. I get Trump has charisma but hes such an awful speaker. Even when on rare occasions hes saying things I agree with, his cadence and qualifiers and vocabulary are so awful, but somehow people love it.

Contrast with Obama, who is IMO the best speaker in my lifetime, who could easily convince me to temporarily agree with warmongering bullshit until I snap out of it just with his oration skill

Also said ITS MUCH HARDER TO WIN THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE THAN THE POOULAR VOTE.

Also said "Remember 270?".

His praise for saccone is that he's a good guy (He then asked if that means anything) and said he's a hard worker. Lol. He also told rick that the pressure is on because he won by 20.

I suppose that I should also mention that Trump publically endorsed executing drug dealers. Don't think a lot of nuanced policy discussion is needed with that one.

I guess I should mention that he explicitly blames drug dealers for killing thousands of people, but is of course, not going to blame gun manufacturers for gun deaths.

Actually, I agree. I think a healthy Reggie Jackson puts them in that eastern conference middle class. Unfortunately, I think the pistons hands will be pretty tied this off season. No cap space, and all of our tradeable guys are guys I don't envision us getting fair value for. But yeah, we could see be very good, assuming health, next year. I still have faith in Stanley. It's come to my attention Pence broke his ninth tie last month, which only one other person has done in the past century (Thomas R. Marshall, 1913-1921). For comparison, our past three VPs broke twelve ties over twenty-four years.

What else should be considered before saying Pence has become the most impactful VP of our lives? I don't really know the important ties recent VPs have broken. I wasn't gonna count George Sr.'s time as President in this conversation about VPs, though technically he was elected while still VP so I'm open to considering him.

I figure Pence influences Trump at lot as well, particularly religious actions. He does a lot to wash over Donald's bad behavior to Christians too, so...I think you're right about Cheney, but it's worth noting. I still have a hard time shaking off the Kasich situation where he was basically offered all the responsibilities of the Presidency as VP...gotta believe some of that carried forward with Pence.

And good point about how Pence can help Senators out with tiebreakers as a strategy when you already have a lead you can afford to shave off a bit. We may see that strategy less now that Doug Jones evened the Senate a bit, but also with a more even Senate Pence may be called in more often to break true ties.
