I'm on the morning/day shift and I go on break just as breakfast ends, so I get some of the leftovers from that (eggs, sausage or a biscuit). Discounting the value menu, the average fast food meal combo is at least $5-10 depending on the location. Maybe it's my age but the typical fast food combo, even a small, is maaaybe too much food for me. I can eat that much but I don't need to in order to feel content. When making your own food in bulk the price per meal can get down to maybe $2-3 I think. Combined with almost a year of really seriously working out, I can see the difference. I weigh less and am stronger than before. Could just be that my local one sucks, but I think it's also that the novelty of having a decent alternative to Subway has worn off. Same thing happened to me with Jimmy John's.
