Do you now, or in the past?

If yes, what formats do you like?

yes, EDH and standard (or modern?) were fun to me

i got into it when eldrazi was a thing, got an emrakul too, made a fun red/green deck that spawned a fair amount of 0/1 eldrazi tokens with tap to sacrifice for 1 colourless mana because of doubling season.

CE should organize cockatrice tournaments tbh (cockatrice is a program that can load all the cards and everything, but it doesn't automatically complete turns. i havent used it in a few years idk if it's still in active development or not) it would be a lot of fun

I voted for currently playing but...I might play like two games when I'm hanging out with friends. I don't actively play anymore - way too expensive.

The only proper format I ever played was EDH which I love. My friends and I also have casual, legacy-legal-I-guess-if-they-fit-into-any-format decks too, but I find those boring because we've refined them to the point that it's just, who has the right opening hand. EDH eliminates that by making it so much more random each time.

Also considering making a cube with my own cards, to extend that randomness even further. I love MtG as a concept, but keeping up with the game is just ridiculous.

I played with some friends one night. They taught be the basics and left me use some of their decks. It was fun, but I didn't feel like buying any cards of my own then.

There was a big edh tournament at the store today. Had a lot of fun. We had a sixteen player friends and enemies game going on.

I play Yugioh online off and on. I was really into it while watching Arc-V

VRAINS got really boring after the first handful of episodes though. There's a lot I'm not caught up on but the production feels lazy and I could be doing something else with my time whenever I'm watching it...

On topic, I played Magic a little bit at my old high school because there was a following for it there, didn't have my own deck though. They were bizarrely snobbish about it

I started playing after Legends came out, but stopped shortly after the release of Fallen Empires back in my college days.

The ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes. That's fact.

Started playing around Revised and quit around Visions or shortly after that. There was little to no emphasis on Type 1 or Vintage back then and felt a bit cheated for being a long time player.

I should have kept the cards. Had a full dual land set and a Mox Pearl.

I still am playing the old school Duels of the Plainswalkers/Spells of the Ancients though.

I played for like two years. Only played standard, and it was during the Alara, Zendikar, and Scars of Mirrodin blocks. I remember at one point I had this bullshit Red Artifact deck that had an infinite loop combo (Myr Galvanizer + Splinter Twin + any mana-generating Myr) that let me summon an infinite number of creatures in one turn, each with infinite power/toughness and Haste, as early as turn 4-5. If I had two mana-generating Myr out, it also generated infinite mana for infinite damage Fireballs at the same time. But I barely ever actually pulled that insane combo off, and sometimes even when I did, the enemy would stop it somehow. It was still a fun deck though.

I stopped playing late in the Scars block due to financial constraints, since I was trying to play and pay for two card games at once. I had to choose between sticking with Magic and Yugioh, and ultimately I went with the one I was more familiar with. I still followed Magic through the Duels Of The Planeswalkers games on Xbox though, and since some of them were just made backwards compatible on XB1, I've been going back and playing them again.
