Many of them are also engineers. So like I know really nothing about this but lots of friends and family are convinced that I should go study for it.

They say that the jobs are there, the money you get paid is good and the skill is important.
But like I thought you had to be a genius to be an engineer and really be a science nerd and godlike at math no?

Due to where I work I know tons of engineers

There's no way all of them are genuises and science and math gods

How smart you need to be depends completely on what you're trying to do in your career. If you're trying for a really technical position, ya intelligence and hard work matters.
There are quite a few non technical engineering jobs out there as well.

Anyway, hard work is what's going to matter, like with any job.

And you for sure don't need to be godlike at math
